I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend, and has been able to re-charge for the upcoming week. Last week for me was one of those weeks where everything seems to go wrong and life just doesn’t t seem very positive. When days like this happen I know it’s hard for me to stay positive and to keep pushing through, but something I’ve learned over several years is that we do have what it takes to change a negative situation, not only that, but we are the only ones who can: no one else will be able to solve our problems for us. Sometimes we like to play victim because it releases us from the responsibility of solving our problems or making things we want happen. Playing victim is easy, unfortunately it won’t solve our problems or give us what we want. In order to do so, we must realize that we all are 100% responsible for the quality of life we live, even though we can’t always control what happens to us, we can always, always, always control our thoughts and reactions to what is going on around us. Ultimately our thoughts and actions will determine our happiness and success. So having said all that I’m going to put these thoughts into some tips to getting what we want:
1. Recognize your power: Each and everyone one of us has so much power within us, we have the power to get everything we want, but first we have to acknowledge it, own that power!
2. Take responsibility: The moment we stop playing victim is the moment our life can really begin and we can start figuring out ways to having the life we want. No one else can give you the life you want, it has to be you!
3. Change your thoughts, change your life: What we say to ourselves in our mind is so important. If your thoughts are usually along the lines of “I can’t do this,” “I’m not good enough,” “I don’t care” etc, it’s time for change. Before you set out to do something, you have to believe that you can do it. This belief comes from the thoughts you repeat to yourself on a daily basis. Your mind is under your control so start monitoring the things you say to yourself regularly and if it’s not good, change it!
